The Construction Sales Estimator plays a crucial role at Arete Renovators by assessing project requirements and providing accurate cost estimates to potential clients. As a Sales Estimator, your primary responsibility will be to analyze project specifications, prepare detailed estimates, and collaborate with the sales team to secure contracts. You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop competitive proposals and provide exceptional customer service. Your expertise in construction estimating and sales will be instrumental in winning new business opportunities and contributing to the overall success of the company.


Project Analysis:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and relevant documentation to understand the scope of work.
  • Conduct site visits, when necessary, to gather additional information for accurate estimates.
  • Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities associated with each project.

Cost Estimation:

  • Utilize industry-standard estimating techniques and software (Coconstruct) to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
  • Estimate rough material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs based on project requirements.
  • Analyze and adjust estimates to account for market conditions, project complexity, and other factors.
  • Create comprehensive cost breakdowns and pricing proposals for client review.

Sales Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and identify potential leads.
  • Attend client meetings, present estimates, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Assist in the negotiation and finalization of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, designers, current and past clients, and subcontractors.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, construction costs, and market fluctuations.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance estimating processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to management for improving sales and estimating practices.


  • Proven experience as a Construction Sales Estimator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and sales abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
